About Me

I am a mom-MD, passionate about travel, wine and the best in beach/water oriented vacations. My motto is “work hard––play hard.”   I grew up in Brooklyn and have two Ivy League degrees under my belt.  I am an avid reader, education advocate, wife (to Big P)  and mother to two children who attend public school in NYC.  When I am not seeing patients, attending a school meeting, or renovating our Brooklyn Brownstone––I am having one hell of a great time––  in Europe, the Caribbean or on the East End of Long Island with my family and the people I love. Come on and join me for an adventure!

Great site – congratulations to you. The passport renewal story reminded me of an incident we had last year. We took the kids to Mexico, but Greg left early, and I was returning home with the kids, solo. They initially denied me the right to board the plane because the children and I have different last names, and I did not have proof of being their mother. I thought all of that was taken care of when the passport was issued. Anyway, they let me keep my children in the end.

Leslie – thanks for stopping by. When I travel solo with the kids, I always get a notarized letter from their father saying its OK… I am not sure how big a problem international abductions are …but I guess this is the new normal. Please keep reading!
