Annandale Falls, Grenada

January 3rd, 2014 · No Brilliant Opinions · International Travel

I’ve been to Grenada many times and every time I visit, I find something new and glorious on this wonderful island.  This Christmas, we spent ten days visiting Carriacou and Grenada.  One highlight of our trip was Annandale Falls,  a waterfall surrounded by the lush tropical landscape.  Annandale Falls is  a popular tourist attraction  close to St. George’s, Grenada.   There are a handful of vendors near the entrance.  My kids loved the guy with the pet monkey and the Caribbean guitarist/rapper who made up a song on the spot about Big P.

There are “jumpers” who are dive from the top for “tips.”  I wasn’t too keen on that.  It’s an honest living but I would have preferred to have paid them NOT to jump. Oh well.

There is a nominal entrance fee and swimming is allowed at the Falls, so come prepared.

I’ll be heading back to the Caribbean pretty soon.  Do you have  any favorite places in the Grenadines?
