Well today we marked another milestone in our relationship. Eleven years ago we got married. Sorry über-romantics, our celebration was low-key and kiddie inclusive. This morning we headed out to the Hamptons for a long overdue vacation together. Traffic was pretty smooth. Although, I have to say I never could understand the mindset of folks who get so agitated because of the traffic going to the east end of Long Island. You are literally in a car with people you love – going to some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States. (Can everyone take a deep breath and stop cutting me off on the road?)
I only had two desires (okay, maybe three *wink*), a meal at my favorite seafood joint, Lobster Roll/Lunch and a few hours at the beach in Sag Harbor. Our day in pictures below. Happy Anniversary Big P!

Happy Anniversary Ann and Big P !
Looking forward to toasting you both tomorrow on the beach in Sag Harbor.
Yeah! Can’t wait to see you all.
what a beautiful post. i envy your ability to tell this story so concisely. i totally get the scene from both your words and your lovely photos. congratulations, ann. happy anniversary and thank you for sharing the love & romance from your life!
Betty – It’s hard to write a post about marriage. I love Big P… but when I think about our years together, my pulse races and the veins on my neck pulse. Marriage is a frightening proposition and not easy at all. But we are still here, still trying and for that I am grateful.
Awwww…Happy Anniversary! My husband and I celebrated our milestone 10th in September 2010, so we’re coming up on 11. Time flies when you love the one you’re with. =D
OneBrownGirl – Thanks for the good wishes!
