Invest in Black Art – Harlem Fine Arts Show 2011

February 20th, 2011 · 3 Brilliant Opinions · Random Things That Make Me Smile

We headed out to the New York Times building in midtown Manhattan Friday to attend the preview reception for the Harlem Fine Arts Show 2011.  The evening was a fabulous event, co-sponsored by Grey Goose, Amtrak and the Fiduciary Management Group.  I got an invite via my girl Dr. Olive – who is on the mailing list for Black Ivy Events Inc.

Along with a number of outstanding African American artists, celebs in the house included former Essence Editor In Chief, Susan Taylor, and television news journalists Vicki Mabry and DeMarco Morgan.  I had the pleasure of meeting Dion Clarke, publisher of Diversity Prep – A Teen Lifestyle Publication, and the brains/brawn behind this event.

A great dinner with live jazz at B. Smith’s restaurant completed the evening.

The Harlem Fine Arts Show begins Friday, February 25 and ends Sunday, February 27 at the Riverside Church of New York City.  Visit the Harlem Fine Arts Show website for event and ticket information. Don’t miss it!

Special thanks to J. Silver Photography and to Dion Clarke who granted me permission to utilize the HFAS website graphics.
