Tucked away in a small hamlet a short drive from the village of Hautefaye. The house is a honey-coloured stone farmhouse and converted barn, built in 1857 and beautifully restored by the current owners. The house offers great space for groups of families or friends. The spacious accommodation inside and outside is perfect for holiday relaxation.
Simple but stylish, the decor lacks nothing yet retains its rustic charm. Recently renovated, this traditional 19th century Charentaise farmhouse and barn have been beautifully converted to provide fresh, light and spacious accommodation. With a impressive stone fireplace and oak beams, Les Sauterelles retains the old character whilst indulging in modern comforts.

Kitchen/Diner
This large kitchen/diner was part of the original farmhouse, with an enormous traditional stone Charantese fireplace (with woodturning stove) it combines the best of traditional stone walls, terracotta floors and beams with modern light colours and decor. The dining table seats 12 guests. The well equipped kitchen including electric hobs, oven and dishwasher is ideal for a self catering holiday.
Garage
There is a washing machine available for you to use in the garage.
Lounge
The vast lounge was converted from the cow barn. With a a sloped ceiling continuing up to double height it feels light and airy. With 3 sofas and additional comfy chairs there is seating for everyone. A TV screen for showing DVD's is provided. The French windows open on to the patio and garden.
Mezzanine/Upstairs Sitting Room
Up the simple bespoke wooden staircase there are two relaxing seating areas, both with sofas to enable people to find their own space when the house is busy!
Bedroom 1 (1st Floor)
The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, furnished simply but elegantly.
Bedroom 2 (1st Floor)
This room has a large double bed with a window offering views of the hamlet.
Bedroom 3 (1st Floor)
With a bunk bed and single bed this room is an ideal place for the kids to hang out. The velux window has a blackout blind, ideal for light summer evenings.
Bedroom 4 (1st Floor)
With a quirky small door under a beautiful beam, the children will love this room. The size is deceptive and the small double and bunk bed make it perfect for youngsters or a family room.
A cot is available. Please provide your own cot linen.

Behind the house is a sunny garden surrounded by fields and woodland. There is a lovely 8m x4m figure of 8 pool approx 1.5m deep, (securely fenced) close to the house, and a patio with seating, also a table tennis table and a swing set.
