This is a beautiful and historic region of France - now really is the time to book a holiday at one (or more) of fabulous restored houses that form the Domaine de Seguinet.
A private swimming beach to do some wild swimming, tucked away in a secluded location on the banks of our pretty swimming/boating lake.
Domaine de Seguinet is a small private estate set in over 18 acres of beautiful grounds including an orchard, mill stream, lake and bordered by the picturesque River Lemance.
The restored two and half bedroom apartment is perfectly situated in the grassy courtyard with an antique centre piece fountain. The apartment has a lovely open plan sitting room with a kitchenette, well equipped with all the necessities. We are happy to offer 'wild swimming' in our own lake (water tested) to visitors staying in The Apartment.
Seguinet is situated in the heart of the Aquitaine region on the borders of the rivers Lot, Garonne and Dordogne. It is a 10 min drive from Fumel where there are many large supermarkets, restaurants and shops. Numerous famous bastide towns and chateaux are nearby and well worth a visit. Belves, Monflanquin, Monpazier, Villefranche-du-Perigod, Issigeac and Chateau de Biron to mention just a few. The beautiful town of Sarlat is only a 45 min drive away.
Arriving at Le Seguinet is so easy with Bergerac airport only an hours drive on a simple and easy to follow route. Bordeaux and Toulouse are also within an easy drive.
There is a strong gastronomic tradition in this area, eating out is part of the French way of life. Lunch time is the best value with three course lunch menu from around 12 euros including wine. Haute cuisine for gourmets, is also available and can be found locally, including the 1 Michelin star restaurants in Pujols (40 mins) & Agen (40 mins). There are a couple of great restaurants in Gavaudun. Just 10 min drive away you can sit in one of the two restaurants at the foot of the stunning Chateau de Bonaguil.
