Summary: The chateaux itself was lovely with lovely gardens and the pool was welcome after the long journey from Rouen. It’s a shame there was no restaurant or bar at the chateaux. We were recommend a restaurant a short walk away but our meal was not great.

Summary: A lovely venue with periodic charm and welcoming staff. The pool was excellent and needed in the heat. Despite the room being nicely furnished, at a minimum a fan is needed if they venue is not fitted with air conditioning. The rooms were very hot which unfortunately made sleep somewhat uncomfortable.

Summary: It was a lovely old property. The owners were great. It was nice to live for 3 days in a museum of sorts, with so much history. However, don't expect luxury. Our aircon didn't work and we were simply told, "well it's an old building". The restaurant did not offer a menu. We were told meat or fish and on the night we went, it was meat only. The food was ok but if you're looking for an up market stay, this is not it.

Summary: What a beautiful Chateau! The owner tells me that they spent 5 years restoring it. It is wonderful.
Be aware they only offer dinner on Saturday nights - I checked before. The good news is they do cheese and charcuterie boards. This suited me down to the ground. A glass of red wine and I was very happy.
Charming owners too. Great if you use as a stopover en route as only 15 mins from Bordeaux and 5 mins from the motorway. Sweet little village too.
