At Port des Barques, 10 minutes from the gites, there is a seawater reservoir by the beach where you can swim whatever the time of tide, and at low tide you can go on foot, by bike or by car to Ile Madame, the world of fishing. We are half an hour from La Rochelle, Royan, Saintes, Saint Jean d'Angély and Surgères.
