Relax in this idyllic setting with all the conveniences of modern life such as wi-fi. Everything you require whether you want lazy days lounging by the pool or exhilarating canoeing and high rope adventures by the river. We are perfect for families ranging all ages. Long lazy lunches, cycling on quiet country roads, exploring vibrant markets or building sand-castles all a stones through from the quiet serenity which we call Chez Baines.
Our farmhouse consists of 5 bedrooms, 3 of these are family bedrooms containing a double bed and a single bed. One room has now got 2 sets of bunkbeds and the other bedroom is currently a double. All the rooms are spacious. There are two bathrooms and one on-suite shower room plus a separate wc on the ground floor. A sitting room with two couches (3 seater & 4 seater), TV, DVD and Playstation 2 has a door leading directly to the garden and terrace. Our large kitchen has an open fire, large table which seats 12 plus and a breakfast bar. All crockery, glassware and utensils are provided and the kitchen has all mod cons i.e. dishwasher, microwave, cooker, pots and pans, kettle etc. plus a wall mounted TV. A separate larder come utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, large fridge and wine cooler with plenty of room for supplies.
Our games room has a proper slate pool table and air hockey machine as well as a card table for playing board games. It is also well stocked with DVD's, Playstation 2 games and books (English)
The games room has patio doors which lead out to the preau (an open sided large barn area that offers some welcome shade). The preau contains a large outdoor dining table (sits 12 plus comfortably) and a seated outside lounge area. At one side it has the barbecue area and at the other side our lovely courtyard abundant with lavender, rosemary and thyme is situated with a beautiful little platform holding a small table and 4 chairs ideal for morning coffee in the sun.
Our large garden has plenty of room for running around and contains a much loved football net. We have 4 walnut trees and a fig tree in the garden which is around an acre in size. Various sun loungers and chairs are available for you to enjoy the garden under the shady trees or by our large pool (12m x 6m) and decking area. The pool house is used for keeping pool maintenance equipment and pool toys. Handy for keeping things cool if you are sitting by the pool.
