Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was super centric, just a 5 minute walk from Gran Vía and Chueca metro stations. I went to Madrid for shopping and all stores were just around the corner. I had a triple room and it was very spacious.

Negative: The check-in process. You have to scan a QR code and input data. I'd much rather do it on paper. Small TV and the maximum volume is set too low so couldn't hear anything. Walls are thin so you can hear your surroundings and neighbours talking. Staff weren't the most sympathetic. Having to leave the key at the reception every time you go out, as when you come back you depend on the hostel staff to be there and give you the key to go to your room.

Summary: Centric location, good for a short stay.
