Bienvenue to Le Petit Bosquet- a stately former wine-makers house with lovely tree-studded grounds in the Cognac region of the Charente. This lovely property is just 20 minutes from Angouleme and one hour from Bordeaux.
Le Petit Bosquet offers bright, airy and spacious rooms sleeping 9- but there is a possibility of comfortably accommodating 1 or 2 additional people. Please enquire. The house offers 3 very large, bright and inviting bedrooms with comfortable beds and crisp white linens. The rooms offer views of the formal courtyard or a more rural outlook over farm fields and trees. All guests enjoy full linen service including both bath towels and pool towels.
A large kitchen opens up to a spacious dining area encouraging leisurely breakfasts or long convivial evenings. If alfresco dining is more to your taste the comfortable covered dining patio sits within the old winemakers barn and offers views onto the leafy courtyard.
The secluded private pool and sundeck area is tucked into a sunny corner of the former winemakers barn- framed by a gorgeous original limestone wall.
There is a small orchard producing seasonal fruits such as cherries and figs which guests are welcome to. The large back garden- set within the old stone walls- provides a safe and grassy space for children to kick around a ball or set up a game of badminton.
The centre courtyard is the heart of the property- providing cozy shaded corners to sit and enjoy the views. The glorious courtyard is the perfect setting for an intense game of boules over glasses of the local wine!
There are several pretty spots for dining alfresco, plus the old grange courtyard provides the perfect spot of evening bonfires compliments of our large fire pit.
The entire property is secure with parking for 2-3 cars, and is fenced offering families with children a safe haven to relax and enjoy open space in a lovely setting. We invite you to this lovely corner of France for a peaceful, gracious and fun-filled holiday.
