The ground floor comprises an original tiled hallway with stone spiral staircase running through the centre of the building. The sitting room & dining room look south towards Chateau Villemaurine's vineyard.
The kitchen is superbly stocked with a Lacanche semi-professional range including 2 electric ovens, plate warmer/slow oven, 5 gas hobs & griddle plus a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board - the property is exceptionally well equipped.
There are five bedrooms in total - one of which (Bedroom 5) is on the ground floor, this bedroom opens onto the garden/courtyard. Superking (180cm x 200cm) bed, travertine stone bathroom with shower, basin and WC.
There are four bedrooms upstairs on the first floor (n.b. European first/ US second, therefore up one flight of the stone staircase). All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and all have air conditioning.
Bedroom 1 - with superking bed (180cm xc 200cm) facing south onto Chateau Villemaurine's vineyard. Bathroom with large marble walk-in shower, cast iron roll top bath and twin sinks.
Bedroom 2 - with superking bed (180cm x 200cm) and overlooking the town towards Clos Fourtet. Pretty bathroom in floor to ceiling travertine with shower.
Bedroom 3 - this is largest bedroom/suite which covers nearly 50 square metres, and faces east onto Cardinal Villemaurine Vineyard and Chateau Soutard - with a superking bed (180cm x 200cm) The large bathroom has twin basins, WC, cast iron roll top bath and a balcony overlooking vineyards. There is also a seperate travertine italian shower room in this suite.
Bedroom 4 - facing south onto Chateau Villemaurine - superking (180cm x 200cm) bed, bathroom in travertine with shower, basin and WC.
All bedrooms have air conditioning.

Lying within a walled vineyard in the heart of Saint Emilion, the property is perfectly situated, with superb michelin starred restaurants, excellent bistros and masses of wine bars all within strolling distance.
Saint Emilion is packed with shops (including excellent butcher, bread shops, delicatessens & tasting rooms) plus has all necessary services including banks, post office, supermarket, doctors, beauticians and a local market too...
The beautiful city of Bordeaux is 30 minutes away, with international airport and train station and the TGV also stops at our local station of Libourne (5km away) although St Emilion itself also has a train station on the Libourne/Bergerac/Sarlat route.
The South West of France is a stunning area and the landmarks of Aquitaine are all within easy reach - guests can canoe chateaux and troglodite caves on the river Dordogne, watch surf competitions on the Atlantic coast (or just swim!), spend the day admiring the golden stone of Sarlat or visiting some of the hundreds of chateaux which open their doors to visitors.
With antique markets & night markets lit by fairy lights and lanterns, daily food markets stuffed with garlicky spit roast chickens, salty oysters, fresh figs, peaches, superb cheeses and delicious wines - shopping really is a delight...
