Large family home in North Deux Sevres, Western France. We have a mixture of farm birds, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 pony's. The "we" consists of me and my husband, our daughter and our 2 grandchildren.
We are in the middle of the country side but on the main Thouars to Bressuire road. A small village 4km away has everything you need, but we also have a choice of Thouars (9km) and Bressuire (19km) There are wonderful walks, Churches, châteaux, lakes and leisure facilities, i.e swimming, bowling, gyms, fishing, horse riding, etc all within easy reach.
Our home is an old French farmhouse set in it's own courtyard with many out buildings which include barns, old pig styles and stables.
We have a large sitting room with satellite tv as well as French. Wi-fi, dvd etc. There is also a quiet reading area with a large selection of books to choose from.
We have 3 seating areas around the grounds where you can sit and relax with a nice glass or two of local wine. Depending on the time of year, we have a good sized orchard with apples, cherries, plums, pears, peaches, grape vines, so you can also sample these. Also 2 very productive walnut trees. I make many things from all the fruit, jams, chutneys, cakes, pies etc. etc. and you are welcome to try them.
There is an activity lake 4km up the road where you can fish, swim , walk and cycle.
We strongly advise you have transport. There is good walking around here but you need car/bike/motorbike to get to the bigger towns. There are no buses.
two single beds with possibility of cot as well. This is ideal to have for the children as a family room as there is an adjoining door. Southerly views over garden.
