It all started in the first 5 minutes. When have you ever checked in and gone to your room to find that there are no toilet rolls? We were given some very quickly but we should have realised that there was something amiss...
When we went to use the shower, this morning, we discovered that it was broken (and had obviously been broken for some time)... so the room should never have been sold. When i pointed this out to the reception manager, his view was that I should have called the emergency number to get the shower fixed. (Can you imagine, naked in the bathroom at 7am, needing to get out to catch a flight... calling an engineer???) NO...
The bottom line is that they should not have rented the room.
I'm requesting a refund. Let's see how reasonable they are!

Summary: Great stay overall! The two pools were relaxing, free parking was a big plus, and breakfast was fresh with plenty of options. Special thanks to Raphael, super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Still a beautiful and peaceful spot to unwind in Sicily!

Summary: Five Star experience. Very comfortable, great facilities and staff. Two pools, roof terrace with a view to Mount Etna and the sea. Secure parking. Highly recommended.

Summary: Amazing hotel. Lives up to the reviews we researched before our stay. The staff are very helpful and the food is very tasty if you choose to eat at the hotel in the evening. A few things to be aware of: 1) it’s not close to lots of other bars and restaurants so expect to drive or take taxis to get about to the main towns 2) the two restaurants near the hotel were both enjoyable food but I would be careful of the bill - we were overcharged both times. 3) make sure you ask the cost of the taxi from the airport before you get in the taxi, we were overcharged by 40 euros as were other guests. It should be around 60 euros by taxi. However, an Uber is between 40-50 euros. 4) it’s very quiet and tranquil, be prepared to totally relax - some might find it a little too quiet. It’s a small hotel and very civilised which we really liked.
