Nestled in the center of the Haut Verdon valley between Allos and Saint André-les-Alpes, Beauvezer is a village of 226 inhabitants located at 1175 meters above sea level. Beauvezer enjoys a beautiful natural environment which has earned him the nickname 'Pearl of the Verdon'. This pretty village of Provence is surrounded by mountains and the line of ridges that leads to 3051 meters at Mont Pelat.
The village was formerly known for the manufacture of its wool by the women of the village which thus met the needs of the premises before becoming a flourishing activity being sold throughout the lower Provence. In 1925, Beauvezer is recognized climatic station by the Academy of Medicine which favored the development of tourism. Today, craftsmen welcome visitors during the weekends and every day during the school holidays at the Maison de Produits de Pays du Haut-Verdon in Beauvezer to discover local products (honey, cheese, genépi, jam, and local crafts (wool, candle, gardener). During family walks, discover green pastures or flora unfolds in all colors. Several hiking trails will take you through the Verdon. You will take sometimes steep paths but the reward will be great when you reach the panorama which gives on the mountain of Chamatte, on the summits of the valley of Chasse and on the massif of Pelat in the north.
