Lovely country house in a quiet rural location sitting in three quarters of an acre of walled gardens. It has 4 bedrooms: 2 double, and 2 twin rooms. 2 bathrooms [1 ensuite].
Chez Jouannais is a small rural village; 6 minutes from Burie and fifteen minutes from Cognac. The village is quiet and there would be a requirement for a car to explore the attractions within the area.
This traditional charentaise farmhouse sits in a three quarter acre plot, the gated entrance leads to mature gardens including a willow tree and oak tree; large entertaining area with BBQ and traditional cognac table converted to an outdoor dining table.Adequate Parking for a number of cars.
The rear garden has recently been developed; there is a raised 8m x 4m swimming pool safe for children next to a lovely lounging area with furniture and sun loungers, there are extra deckchairs available for use at the property or to take to the beach. This leads to a very large enclosed lawned area for games and activities (goal nets and portable badminton). Along side the patio is an area for boules with direct access to the kitchen, laundry and downstairs toilet.
The kitchen is fully equipment for cooking and drinking and features a butchers block, wine cooler and log burner. The dining table seats eight people comfortably; a high chair is available .
The utility room has washing facilities; airing; ironing; additional fridge space; storage for deck chairs and outdoor games; it also has a downstairs toilet and door leading to the patio area.
The entrance/games room has a feature fire place with log burner and snooker/pool table with bar and stools. Patio doors lead to the pool and patio area.
