Summary: Our stay at Villa Porticciola in San Gimiagno was absolutely FANTASTIC! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as we had anticipated and more. The host is attentive and so accommodating and tries to make everything perfect to the best of his ability including maintaining the pool when we were there. The pool was a real plus! We were so impressed! And the Villa’s location in San Gimiagno was magical. We had rented a car for driving around Tuscany but did use it for going into San Gimiagno even though the distance into town is only half a mile. The Villa is located on an historically preserved road- very gravelly and dusty but filled with “character” - which has a steep incline into town and we had two “seniors” in our party. The temperatures when we went in June were unseasonably hot. The walking down was fine, but the walking up more challenging depending on the people in your party. We are so grateful for what was a true “bucket list” experience! Thank you, Alessandro.
