Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We stayed 2 nights at VVF Aveyron, during which time it was mainly occupied by elderly people (like ourselves). I assume that.when schools are on holiday, there would be many more families there. We didn't take part in any activities. It was easy to walk into Najac, which is lovely. We used the outdoor swimming pool and enjoyed the site itself, which is extensive,. We enjoyed the trees, the birds and butterflies greatly. The staff were very helpful and friendly.. The food was of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. The surrounding Aveyron countryside is, of course, charming.

Negative: Our cabin, although clean, was small - bedroom and shower room. We had excellent weather and, of course, there are communal facilities, and a table and chairs for our cabin. We walked all around the site, which is big. We couldn't help noticing that a number of the buildings are not in good condition, with paint and rendering falling off. Some of the outside activities could do with some sprucing up. There is a path to Najac through woods, but it's overgrown and would be very difficult to use. The indoor facilities - dining room, bar, etc., though, are very good. Our stay was quite different from anywhere else and we enjoyed it!
