Relax with family or friends at our home from home gite based in the rural hamlet of La Roche de Bord. We are in the Poitou Charente bordering departments of the Deux Sevres, Charente and the Vienne. We have a heated pool for lazy days at the gite or some amazing places to visit in the area, all within a short drive. For beach days La Rochelle is 119km / 1hr 40 drive and well worth a full days visit. We also have a few lakes not far for either fishing, kayaking or swimming.

Summary: We have just returned from our wonderful holiday at this beautiful Gite in a lovely rural area of France. Amanda & Graham were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had the most relaxing stay with the use of their pool and sunbeds. The welcome gift of wine and treats was very much appreciated after our long drive from England. Easy access to the motorway is close by for day trips out. We particularly enjoyed visiting La Rochelle and Poitiers and doing everything French style. Amanda was very helpful with information on where to go to eat and drink and we very much enjoyed our last evening eating out with her & Graham. We will definitely return if we visit this area of France again. Thank you both for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.
