A wood burning stove will keep you warm and toasty when the evenings begin to cool. Chalus is the closest town, being 5km to the west and providing a large supermarket, restaurants, butchers, bakers and other shops as well as two ATMs. Being in French lake-land, there are also several freshwater lakes in the area. Most have man-made sandy beaches and other leisure facilities and are very popular.
