Situated just 6 km's from Saint Yrieix la Perche La Porcherie is a stunning original piggery conversion, which still retains the original stonework walls and exposed beams.Offering 68 Sq mtr's it is an open plan design downstairs with a spacious double bedroom and bathroom mezzanine deck.
La Porcherie is open plan kitchen/dining area and a lounge with french doors opening onto its own patio with views overlooking the pool, and out to the french countryside. The patio is equipped with its own table & chairs, and sun parasol, ideal for an Al Fresco breakfast, or quiet relaxing glass of wine in the evening. La Porcherie has it's own dedicated additional secluded private relaxing area, complete with table & chairs, & purpose built Spanish BBQ & enjoys the same wonderful views.
The pool & terrace are lit in the evening which adds to the charm of this very special place.

Kitchen and dining:
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, pod coffee-machine, toaster, kettle, with a full range of cutlery and dinnerware. A range of cooking utensils exist to meet the family requirements.
The Kitchen offers perfect place to prepare those romantic couples meals. Choose whether to dine at the marble table indoors, or your own private patio outside, or even Al fresco at your own private sun/BBQ area.
Living room:
The kitchen leads into a spacious dining area and well decorated lounge with comfortable stylish sofa and additional large wicker armchair. Or dine on very comfortable seating at the marble top table for four persons. The lounge area also has a small log burner which adds to the ambiance of the cosy nights in.
The living area is well decorated throughout, with open plan design, leading to a french doors exiting to stoned patio area. Provided is an English TV, Free-sat, French Terrestrial TV, and DVD player.
The lounge leads out onto the outside terrace, which has its own outside table and chairs, parasol. To the left is your own private sun and BBQ area with wonderful views overlooking the gardens and pool.
Bedroom:
Stairs from the lounge lead to a very attractive & decoratively styled double bedroom set on a mezzanine deck. Bedroom is equipped with dressing table and vertical dressing mirror, hair dryer, & is supported by a stylish shower room.
Quality stylish bed linen is provided & changed weekly FOC for longer term lets.
Bathroom:
Bathroom has tiled floor, equipped with shower, wash basin, toilet, fitted cupboard, heated towel radiator, and totally modern throughout.
Heating:
The gite is heated by electric storage heaters & radiators for winter lets. Supported by wood log burner.
Charges for electricity and wood are included within the price for winter lets.
Entertainment:
Own private BBQ facilities. On site is is children's play area, comprising of trampoline, swing set, & wooden Wendy house. The pool is a 10 x 5 Sq mtr in ground pool, with a depth of 1.25 mtr, ideal and safe for younger members, complete with Roman steps leading into the pool. Located next to the pool is a well decorated and stylish refreshment/bar area, that works on an honesty system. In the evenings the pool and pool terrace area are illuminated, providing a beautiful setting for the evening drink and relaxation.
Gardens and Pool:
La Porcherie looks out onto the large garden/lawn area, and swimming pool. At the bottom of the garden is the pool bar, which works on an honesty system, and has proved to be a great success with all our guests. For poolside relaxation, the bar is equipped with Amazon Alexa for your entertainment.
The pool and terrace are dressed with loungers, drinks tables, parasols, and are lit in the evening which adds to the charm of the La Retreat. Perfect place to relax and unwind and enjoy an evening drink.

A general market takes place every two weeks on a Friday morning, with an abundance of excellent food stalls, fresh vegetables & clothes & crafts. Saint Yrieix La Perche offers a good cultural centre with galleries & special events during the summer months. In addition is perfectly situated to explore the numerous nearby Chateaux's, river walks, history, Richard the Lionheart route, & embrace the french culture to its fullest.
