Summary: Outwardly the Hotel looks great and the main house has real character and charm. We however had a room in the orangery which is a detached building of modern construction. The room was not a bad size, was fairly clean although there were specific areas like the waste bins that could have been cleaner. The room had two single beds pushed together which got further and further apart as the night passed. The main issue with the room was the lack of water pressure to provide adéquate flow for the shower, but even worse was the lack of sound insulation that had been used in the construction of the building. We could hear every step, door opening, TV being switched on etc. throughout our stay. The pillows were also dreadful and the Duvet hardly big enough for the bed. A shame really as the rest of the experience was pretty good, with the restaurant food being very tasty and reasonably priced too.
