If you want to take things more slowly, there are chateaux nearby, Roman Baths, the famous village of Oradour Sur Glane, a fabulous weekly market at Piegut, the picturesque village of Brantome and the fabulous Cognac houses all a short drive away.
We are a few minutes drive from Massignac village where there is a bar/restaurant, tourist board office, small general grocer, a boulangerie for fresh bread, a chemist, doctors surgery and a lovely artisan gift shop and tea room.
