The Moulin, with its twin aspect over the courtyard and waterfall, has been tastefully renovated with exposed beams and original stonework giving you a real sense of history whilst feeling comfortable and modern.
The gite boasts a generous, open-plan living area with evidence of the original wood works of the mill. The open kitchen, lounge and dining area creates a great space for socialising together and relaxing. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge and all the utensils/crockery you need to prepare fabulous home-cooked meals around the large dining table.
There is a furnished private sun terrace with BBQ for dining al fresco with views over the waterfall and woods beyond. On the ground floor there is a bathroom and separate toilet. On the first floor there is one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms with a further bathroom and separate toilet.
Le Moulin is one of three gites at La Maillerie, occupying a stunning rural position within 7 acres of naturally landscaped meadows and woodland beside a small river with gentle waterfall. La Maillerie is just 200m from the centre of the village of Busserolles with its boulangerie (fresh bread for breakfast!), restaurant and bar.
Bright and comfortable, Le Moulin has all the modern facilities you could expect including a dishwasher, flat screen TV, DVD player, HIFI, WiFi access, as well as bed linen and towels and shared access to two washing machines and a seperate tumble dryer.
All of our gites, retain their original character and charm with wooden beams, pierre apparent stone walls and a wood burner for the colder months.
Each gite is sympathetically separated from the others, with private patios and BBQ area, giving you all the privacy you need.
There are a wide variety of facilities onsite for all ages including rustic golf, table tennis, badminton, boules, swimming pool, sand pit, swings and woodland to explore.
Local attractions include the famous Piegut Market on Wednesdays, the night markets of Montbron, Nontron and Busserolles, the swimming and leisure lakes of St Estephe and St Mathieu, Kayaking in Brantome, local prehistoric caves and pretty Chateaux, the International Golf Course at La Preze, Tennis court and sunday Boules competitions in the village park just 500m away and numerous pretty villages to visit and explore.
