Relax in this quiet, elegant accommodation, ideal for families with children or friends.
Come and recharge your batteries as a family or with friends in this 11-person (8 adults and 3 children) gîte, located in a cul-de-sac in the commune of Tavant and combining old-world charm with modern comforts. It's an ideal base for exploring this small, historic village and wine-growing region, where you'll find the church of Saint Nicolas, a listed historic monument.
For your activities, the gîte is ideally located in the heart of the Loire Valley, allowing you to discover its châteaux, the nearest of which are Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau and Le Rivau, just 20 minutes away.
On the ground floor you will find
- a double bedroom (bed 160x200) and en-suite bathroom with bath and WC and washing machine/dryer)
- a well-equipped kitchen with conventional and Nespresso coffee machines, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and dining area
- a comfortable lounge with television and TV box
On the first floor :
- a children's bedroom with a bunk bed (not suitable for adults) and a cot
- three bedrooms, each with a 160x200 bed
- a bathroom with shower, toilet, towel dryer and hairdryer.
Outside:
- enclosed garden with terrace and garden furniture, Weber gas barbecue, deckchairs.
- 8x3 unheated swimming pool, available from June to September (depending on weather conditions), equipped with a roller shutter with fasteners (please note that a safety device does not in any way replace the vigilance of responsible adults, who must exercise constant and active supervision).
We also provide a wooden cot (for children under one year old, bed linen not provided) and a high chair. Access to the first floor is secured by a barrier.
For water-based activities, L'île Bouchard (3.5 km) or Chinon (13km) offer canoeing and kayaking on the Vienne river. For cycling enthusiasts, there are several cycle path departures from Tavant.
On site, our concierge service will be delighted to show you around the house and its facilities and advise you on the many other activities available to help you enjoy the mild climate of the region.
Important information!
You can unload your luggage directly in front of the house (no parking allowed in the courtyard). A public car park is a 2-minute walk away.
Bed linen and towels are not included: you can bring your own or hire them (€25 / double bed including towels for 2 people / €20 / single bed including towels for 1 person). Tea towels and bath mats are provided free of charge. Pool towels are not provided.
Arrival is possible between 4pm and 7pm by appointment (independent arrival possible after 7pm).
Check-out is at 10am (late check-out possible until midday, subject to availability).
